Xiaomi returns to the streets and is preparing to try to be the king of the photographic section in the high range, although it will not have anything easy against Apple and Huawei which last quarter will present their flagship killers of the year.
Xiaomi would be preparing four high-end smartphones mounted on the Samsung Bright HMX 108MP sensor. This information is born after the last leak launched by XDA Developers where it is shown in the code of the gallery app that Xiaomi is working on four smartphones equipped with the 108MP sensor.
The devices are called in codename “tucana”, “draco”, “umi” and “cmi”. It follows that they could be the following four terminals that we expect to see this last quarter of the year along with those of the beginning of 2020. These being:
- Mi Mix 4 (2019)
- Mi 9 5G (2019)
- Mi 10 (2020)
- Redmi K30 (2020)
The sensor reaches this resolution thanks to Tetracell technology capable of unifying up to a total of 4 pixels in one. With this, real 27 MP photographs are obtained, offering greater definition and clarity than that provided by a conventional lens of the same resolution.
Samsung ISOCELL Bright HMX is still a 0.8um image sensor as the 64MP sensor, but it increases the size of the sensor to an amazing 1 / 1.33 ″, being the first smartphone sensor to reach this amount. This will allow you to take photos of resolution 12032 x 9024 pixels. The large sensor size helps HMX absorb more light in low light conditions. In addition, Smart-ISO helps the sensor intelligently select the correct ISO to meet the needs of the environment. The HMX sensor is using Samsung’s Tetracell and ISOCELL Plus technologies, so you can generate bright 27-megapixel images. The sensor also supports video recording at 6K (6016 x 3384 pixels) at 30 fps.
To have more real information on the following devices we must wait for Xiaomi to summon us for the presentation of the Mi Mix 4 and Mi 9 5G, the presentation date being very close. We hope that the company will shortly announce a date to counterattack the opposing brands that are going to launch their new high-end terminals this month.
