It is very plain that Airtel Night Data Plans appear to be the cheapest in the country now. Where Glo and Etisalat give you just 1GB of data for ₦200, Airtel gives 50% more (1.5GB), but can be used at night.

Do you know that before now the price of the Airtel 1.5GB SmartTrybe night plan was ₦50, but it seems like they have been hit by the sound economy of the country, they now hike the price to ₦200? I feel like this is pure madness, yes! I mean it.
However, I honestly appreciate Airtel’s effort on this a lot.
The most annoying part is that they didn’t even pass any information across to anyone, I just found out that the change in the price was as a result of the new modifications of the TRYBE 2.0 night plan.

For those that are just hearing the word (SmartTrybe) for the first, let me clear this off the ground.

How do I subscribe to this SmartTrybe 1.5GB data plan?
Here is how to opt-in. Just follow the details below.
- Firstly, you have to be on the Airtel SmartTrybe Tariff plan. Getting in is quite easy, just dial *312#
- After migrating to SmartTrybe tariff plan, load ₦200 if you want to go for the 1.5GB data bundle or ₦25 for 500MB (Mtn has a similar plan). All you need to do is select the plan that is most convenient for you.
- After loading the card, simply dial *312#, now reply with 3 (the night plan), then type 2 to choose the Airtel 1.5GB plan.
N.B – validity is just for 1 night. (Between 12am – 5am)
How do I subscribe to this SmartTrybe 500MB data plan?
Just follow the below procedures:
- First of all, you must have N25 on your SIM
- Then dial *312#, now reply with 3 (the night plan), then type 1 to choose the Airtel 500mb plan.
N.B – validity is just for 1 night. (Between 12am – 5am)
This could save you thousands of naira!
This plan will not be available forever, so enjoy this while it lasts.
