In case I haven’t noticed, it’s been almost 8 years since Grand Theft Auto 5 hit the market at the time, for PS3 and Xbox One. So, truth be told, fans of the saga are beginning to despair for a new entry in this epic game saga.
However, after several leaks and rumors, it seems that Grand Theft Auto 6 is still a long way from being a reality…
Grand Theft Auto 6
Therefore, a new leak started to gain impressive traction on Reddit! Revealing that the new Rockstar Games game will only hit the shelves in 2023. Apparently, it will draw some inspiration from the Red Dead Redemption 2 chapter system.
That is, very briefly, if this rumor is correct, GTA 6 will be announced in 2022, and later released in October 2023.
Having said all of that, the first two chapters will take place sometime in the 1970s, with a time jump to Miami, most likely for today. Thus, it seems certain that GTA 6 is based on a dynamic story that could happen in a time span of more than 40 years. Can you imagine two completely different maps in the same game? With completely different spaces, cultures and clothes!
Interestingly, the map should be smaller than that of RDR2, but it will be much more dense, thus allowing a 60-hour “campaign”. Furthermore, it seems that the idea of handing over the lead role to a female character has fallen apart. (And yes, it looks like GTA 6 will only have one main character, instead of 3 as GTA 5)
As always, these are just leaks and rumors. In short, this information is unconfirmed and must be interpreted very carefully. After all, if the game is released in 2023, there is still time for a lot to change.
