Earlier in November, there were reports that Google could be coming out with another Pixel smartphone called Pixel 3 Lite. Since this edition is lite, almost everything about it will be scaled back when compared to other Google Pixel 3 smartphones.
The new Pixel 3 Lite is said to have a less powerful processor, less storage, and comes at a lower price than the others. However, one good thing is the high-quality camera that the others have will also be on the lite edition.
Lately, there are new images popping up online, especially on Twitter showing the phone and also Pixel 3, and with other smartphones. The new Pixel 3 Lite is code-named Sargo and it comes with a 5.56 inches screen, 2220 x 1080 pixel resolution, IPS notch-free display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 processor, 4GB of RAM. 32GB of internal storage, a 2,915 mAh battery, an 8 MP front selfie camera, and a 12 MP rear camera.
But when we talk about “Lite” it looks not really so in the physical manner as this device is bigger than than the Pixel 3 which has 5.5 inches screen. However, it is still smaller than the Pixel 3 XL which is 6.3 inches large.
This new upcoming lite edition comes in a plastic body, while the more expensive ones come in aluminum frames and glass backs. This suggests that the Pixel 3 Lite will sell below the $1,000 USD mark. No official word about the price however, we are just speculating, taking into consideration the performance specification.
The Lite edition is rich in the sense that it has a 3.5 mm headphone jack, where its brothers don’t have. Take note that at this time, all information about the Pixel 3 Lite are not from Google but from online leaks. It is from these information that speculations about price have been coming out. The speculations claim that the device can sell anywhere from $500 to $800.
Finally, leaks suggests that the smartphone will run Android 9 Pie out of the box and that it could also debut with thicker bezel display when compared to what obtains on the Pixel 3.
