BBNaija 2022 (Season 6) – Application Form & Requirements

Nigeria’s biggest reality show, BBNaija is back with another season, and as usual, Nigerians/Africans cannot wait. The organizers recently announced audition dates for season 6, while adding that the winner will be going home with a whopping N90M worth of prizes.

The organizers also introduced a new twist with early auditions, so we can expect the unexpected. According to BBNaija social media handles, however, no date has been decided for the premiere. If you are willing to participate this year, this tutorial has you covered.

Brief History of Big Brother Naija


Big Brother Naija, formerly known as Big Brother Nigeria and popularly known as BBNaija or BBN, is a Nigerian reality tv show based on the Big Brother television franchise, in which contestants live in an isolated house and compete for a large cash prize worth N60,000,000 and other material gifts, at the end of the show by avoiding being evicted from the house by viewers.

The highly-rated reality TV show has produced some notable stars such as Africa Magic’s Tinsel actor, Gideon Okeke, and TV personality Ebuka Obi-Uchendu.

Big Brother Naija Season 1 (2006)

The first season of Big Brother Naija premiered in 2006 and aired on Dstv Channel 37 from March 5 to June 4, 2016. In a twist to the game, two new contestants were introduced on Day 23, much to the excitement of the remaining housemates.

Big Brother Naija Season 2 (2017)

Big Brother Naija Season 2 (2017), themed “See Gobbe” was the second season of the Nigerian version of the reality show Big Brother. BBNaija season 2 kicked off on 22 January 2017 and went on for a duration of 3 months. Ex- housemate Ebuka Obi Uchendu was the host.

Big Brother Naija Season 3 (2017), tagged  “Double Wahala” was the third season of the Nigerian version of the reality show Big Brother. Produced by South Africa’s Red Pepper TV and it was launched on 28 January 2018 on DStv channel 198. Ex-housemate Ebuka Obi-Uchendu was the host.

How Can I Apply For BBNaija Season 6 (2021)?

  • Before anything else, you’ll have to make a clip of yourself and state reasons as to why you would love to be on the reality TV show.
  • As soon as the video is ready, get yourself logged into the BBNaija website, fill the form, upload the recorded video along with a photo of yourself and Submit. As soon as that is done, your clip will be reviewed, and if you qualify, you’ll be notified of the next step to take.

How Can I Have Early Access To BBNaija 2021?

Enjoying early access for the BBNaija show simply means paying for a DStv Premium, Compact Plus, Compact, Confam, Yanga, or on GOtv Max or Jolli subscription within a specified period.
