African messaging app, Ayoba, has announced the launch of new features, which come with a new version of the app. The new version 0.38 allows users to make video and voice calls.
The app, which is already two years old, has seen massive growth among users in Africa. At present, it has a userbase of 5.5 million monthly users, and by so doing, it got an award for Best Mobile application late in 2020.
If you already make use of the app, you would have noticed that the use of the app is now different when you updated to the new version. However, users are already enjoying the new features, and the app is proving popular, with thousands of calls going out across the world daily.
The Head of Ayoba, Nolan Wolff, said that users have been urging them to support VoIP since the first day the app launched. He also said that the Ayoba team is very pleased with making this dream a reality. He emphasized that once users upgrade to the latest version, they will enjoy each new feature.
Users can visit Google Play Store or Ayoba.me to update the app to the latest version so that they can get started, he said.
He continues to talk about the significance and benefits of the Ayoba app, saying that users who are short on memory usage have no problem making use of the app, as it is lightweight. Ayoba is also accessible to a broad audience, and the team is preparing to reach more untapped market segmentation.
In the past two years that this app has been in existence, many things have changed. Things like adding content channels, music, games, micro-apps, MTN MoMo, among other entertaining features that users find very engaging.
