Asus ZenFone Max Pro M2 receives a new update: January patch, but not only

Maybe it’s not exactly the biggest smartphone maker in the world, but without a doubt, it’s one of the most reliable and particularly on the market. We are talking about Asus, the company based in Taipei (Taiwan), which has the majority of users in Asian countries: not surprisingly, it is precisely in those areas that the company decides to launch its main devices, and then extend them also to other markets.

Their smartphones are generally affordable, with specifications that are within reach of most people, and they also have some unique features. One of these products is the Asus ZenFone Max Pro M2 which was released last month by the Taiwanese company. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 mid-range processor and is also equipped with a 6.26-inch FHD + screen, up to 6 GB of RAM.

The most impressive feature, however, is another: Asus ZenFone Max Pro M2 is in fact equipped with a huge 5,000 mAh battery, which guarantees an absolute level of autonomy.

Yesterday, Asus released an OTA update for the ZenFone Max Pro M2. The main feature of the update is represented by the introduction of security patches that refer to the month of January 2019. The version 15.2016.1901.186 of the system also introduces the detection of scenes based on artificial intelligence.

In addition, the update brings with it the natural mode, the food mode and a couple of other options that tune the settings to match the specific image requirements. Taking a look at the complete changelog, there is also an improvement in the quality of the front camera and the energy consumption of the system.

The update has already started, but Asus uses a phased launch strategy, so you may have to wait a couple of days. The user who intends to check the update can do so by going to Settings> System category. It is also possible to proceed with the manual update.
